Courtney Perks

Courtney Perks has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Courtney started their career as a Temporary Project Employee at Jiffy Packaging Co Ltd in 2008, where they worked on developing a new labelling system. Courtney then joined Badminton England as a Sponsorship and Sales Intern in 2011, focusing on commercial, sponsorship, membership, and marketing projects.

In 2012, Courtney became a Marketing and Communications Executive at British Cycling, where they contributed to the delivery of the Sky Ride national marketing campaign. Courtney provided day-to-day support in preparing and executing marketing and communications plans and managed customer relationships.

From 2014 to 2018, Courtney worked as a Marketing and Communications Advisor at the English Federation of Disability Sport. In this role, they advised and supported National Disability Sport Organisations in maximizing marketing and communication opportunities for their Inclusive Sports Fund program. Courtney focused on digital presence, PR, media, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative working.

Currently, Courtney is the Communications Manager at Activity Alliance, a position they started in September 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Communications Advisor at the same organization from April 2018 to August 2022. In these roles, Courtney created content, managed media relations, engaged with stakeholders, developed digital platforms, and helped drive Activity Alliance's vision and key messages to make active lives possible for disabled people.

Courtney Perks earned a BA Hons 2:1 degree in Sport Business Management from Leeds Beckett University from 2008 to 2011. Prior to attending university, Courtney attended Sir John Deane's College from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, from 2001 to 2006, Courtney attended County High School Leftwich. No specific degree or field of study was provided for both the college and high school education.
