Nic Johansen

Nic Johansen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Currently, they serve as the Director of Sales at actnano, Inc. since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Daikin America, Inc. where they held positions such as Key Account Representative from June 2021 to March 2023, Senior Application Technologist from July 2020 to June 2021, and Application Technologist from November 2017 to July 2020.

Before joining Daikin America, Inc., Johansen worked as a Research Scientist at Danimer Scientific from September 2015 to November 2017. Nic also gained experience as a Research Chemist at Bend Research from January 2014 to August 2015.

Johansen's earlier career includes a role as a Research assistant at the University of Oregon from September 2012 to June 2013, where they investigated organic alternatives to silicon for use in photovoltaics, field effect transistors, and light-emitting diodes. Nic also served as an Assistant curriculum writer at the University of Florida, Agronomy Department from June 2011 to December 2011, where they worked on creating an organic agriculture curriculum.

Throughout their career, Johansen has developed a wide range of skills and expertise in sales, account management, application technology, research and development, and curriculum design.

Nic Johansen earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology from the University of Florida, graduating in 2011. After completing their undergraduate studies, Nic pursued further education and obtained a Post-baccalaureate degree in Organic Chemistry and Calculus from the University of Florida in 2012. They continued their academic journey at the University of Oregon, where they completed a Post-baccalaureate program in Physical Chemistry in 2013. Following this, Nic successfully pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemistry with a specialization in polymers and coatings from the University of Oregon, completing the program in 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Nic Johansen also obtained a certification in "Mastering Sales: A Toolkit for Success" from Kellogg Executive Education in November 2022.
