John K.'s work experience includes a variety of roles in different industries. John most recently worked as the Director of Finance and Operations at Acts 29, where they managed a $9 million budget and implemented financial systems improvements. Prior to that, they were an Event Services Manager at Hyatt Regency, overseeing a team and coordinating successful meetings and events. John also served as the Director of Special Events and Catering at Liberty Food and Wine Exchange, where they planned and managed large-scale catering events and acted as a banquet manager for weddings and corporate meetings. John has experience in restaurant management, serving as the General Manager at K-Roll Korean Takeaway, and worked as a Restaurant Manager at Carnevino Steakhouse for the Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group. John started their career as an intern at Baba Marketing Consulting and worked as a Summer Front Desk Agent at Peppermill Resort Spa Casino.

John K. attended Cornell University from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration. In 2010, they participated in a Semester Study Abroad Program at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, focusing on International Business, Language, and Cultural Immersion. Prior to their time at Cornell University, John K. attended the University of Nevada, Reno from 2007 to 2008, studying Journalism.
