Derek Buckley

Derek Buckley is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Acuant. Derek has previously worked as a software engineer for Brooks Automation, Matrical Bioscience, RADSoft, Getronics, and Venture Design. Derek was also the co-owner and manager of Pharostar, Inc.

Buckley has over 20 years of experience in software development. Derek has participated in numerous software development projects and consulting engagements for clients, with heavy use of XP/Agile development practices. Some of their notable projects include developing the user interface for two cellular diagnostic/analysis devices, being the team lead for a forest land management and forecasting system, and working on financial trading software.

Derek Buckley has a Master's of Science in Computer Science from Eastern Washington University, a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science from Eastern Washington University, and general business and pre-engineering, computer science from Spokane Falls Community College and the University of Washington respectively. Derek also went to North Central High School.

Derek Buckley reports to Cynthia Tham, Director, Engineering. They are on a team with Rajani Gudi - Senior Software Engineer, Chris Lutz - QA Engineer, and Crispin Timm - Sales Engineer.
