Jason Safabash

Jason Safabash is Vice President, Research and Development at AcuFocus, Inc. In this role, Jason leads research & development for AcuFocus’ next generation pipeline. Jason brings over 25 years’ experience leading medical device products to market with 12 of those years specifically in ophthalmic intraocular lenses and injector systems.

Jason comes to AcuFocus from Alcon Labs and previously AMO where he held a variety of functional and program management, and research and development roles. He has a proven track record of innovation in developing PC IOLs and injector systems for accommodating and extended depth of focus IOLs. He also holds 9 patents. Jason’s passion and dedication to providing the best solution for patients’ needs makes him the ideal choice to lead future innovations at AcuFocus, Inc.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering Technology from Northrop University in Los Angeles, CA.
