Melanie Woodward

Melanie Woodward, CPA, currently serves as Senior Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting at Acuity Brands, a position held since April 2018, with previous roles including Manager of Global Consolidations and Lead Accountant. Prior to Acuity Brands, Melanie worked at EY from September 2015 to April 2018 as an Assurance Senior and had begun with the firm as an Assurance Services Intern. Experience also includes a position as Staff Accountant at Habitat for Humanity Tuscaloosa from April 2014 to September 2015 and a Graduate Teaching Assistant role at the University of Alabama. Melanie graduated with a Master's in Accountancy from the University of Alabama's Manderson Graduate School of Business in 2015 and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the same university, completed in 2013. Melanie has also contributed to tax preparation services for low-income families through various initiatives.
