Soumyajit Sarkar

Soumyajit Sarkar is an accomplished professional with a robust background in credit research and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Associate in Credit Research at Acuity Knowledge Partners since September 2022, Soumyajit previously held the position of Analyst at CARE Ratings Ltd. from April 2019 to September 2022. An early career experience includes a project internship at Steel Authority of India Limited, where responsibilities involved risk identification and analysis within the steel industry. Soumyajit also contributed to Jindal India Thermal Power Limited as a Senior Engineer and Engineer in Operations & Maintenance from August 2013 to May 2017. Academic qualifications include a PGDM in Business Administration and Management with a focus on Finance and Operations from Goa Institute of Management, a PG Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering from the National Power Training Institute, and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology.
