Andres Vera

Andrés is the Community Animator of The Foundry at Acumen Academy. He has been a research assistant for 60 Decibels in Colombia. He is the former director of an independent radio program in Medellin, Colombia, called Radioperiodico Clarin, and former economic editor of the local newspaper El Mundo.

He has been an active member in the Acumen community since he took a first +Acumen course Human Centered Design in 2014. In addition, he is a an Alumni of Global Shapers, initiative of the World Economic Forum. He is also an active member of other global communities like MIT Bootcamps, the Solutions Journalism Network, and Science Clubs Colombia.

He majored in Business Administration in the Universidad EAFIT, and he is constantly enrolled in different MOOCs, and different online courses about many different topics.
