Avtar K.

Avtar K. has an extensive work experience in various roles within the automotive industry. Currently, they are the Vice President of Operations at Acument Global Technologies since 2016. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director of Program Management & Sales at CJ Automotive from 2015 to 2016.

Before that, Avtar was the Director of Engineering and APQP at Meridian Lightweight Technologies from 2011 to 2015. Avtar held the position of Director of Engineering at Sun Capital Partners, Wabash Technologies from 2008 to 2011, where they led the manufacturing engineering group and was responsible for worldwide manufacturing strategy.

Earlier in their career, Avtar served as the Director of Engineering at Sun Capital Partners, Drivesol Worldwide, Inc. from 2005 to 2008, where they provided leadership in product design and development. Avtar also worked as an Engineering Manager at Teleflex Automotive Group from 1997 to 2005, overseeing a group of application engineers, design engineers, and product designers.

Avtar started their career as a Design Engineer at Gates Corporation from 1994 to 1997, where they were responsible for developing drive belt tensioner systems and worked with various manufacturing processes.

Throughout their career, Avtar has demonstrated strong leadership skills and experience in project management, strategic analysis, and budgeting. Avtar has been involved in new project launches, implementing engineering procedures, and improving overall efficiency in product development and manufacturing.

Avtar K. attended the University of Waterloo from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Engineering. Avtar also holds a certification as a Professional Engineer from the PEO - Professional Engineers Ontario.
