Peter van Herck

Peter Van Herck currently serves as the Regional Officer (Vakbondssecretaris) for ACV-CSC Metea in the Antwerp Region, specializing in the metal and textile industries since June 2002. With a background in metal work and extensive union involvement, Peter worked at Hansen Transmissions International nv from 1980 to 2002, taking on various roles from Radial Driller to Chief Delegate for ACV-Metaal. Participation in five social elections and serving in multiple representative positions, including Belgian Representative for the European Works Council of BTR/SIEBE, highlight Peter's commitment to labor representation. Educational qualifications include a series of modules in labor law, mediation, and social work from various institutions, contributing to a well-rounded expertise in union activities and worker rights advocacy.
