Steve Rutherford has a diverse and extensive work experience. Steve started their career as a Misdemeanor Public Defender at the Ada County Public Defenders Office in 1996. From there, they worked as a Meridian City Prosecutor (Contract) at White Peterson in 1998. In 1999, they joined the City of Boise as the Chief Deputy City Attorney, a role they held until 2016.
