Andrew Deal

Andrew Deal has extensive work experience in the medical device industry. Andrew started their career as a Manufacturing Engineer at Abbott, where they provided production support for various medical devices. Andrew then joined Lumend, Cordis, Johnson & Johnson as a Manufacturing Engineer, where they supported the production of specialty catheters. Andrew later worked at Johnson & Johnson as a Process Engineer before joining BC Tech as a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, where they supported both sides of the business with cleanroom assembly and lean projects. Andrew then transitioned to St. Jude Medical, where they worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer and later became the Principal R&D Engineer, leading the R&D department and expanding testing capabilities. Currently, Andrew is the Director of Operations at Adagio Medical Inc., overseeing various departments and ensuring employee support and direction. Andrew also held previous roles such as Sr. Manager Operation and Operations Manager in the same company.

Andrew Deal earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Technology Management from the University of Phoenix from 2004 to 2006. Andrew attained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Manufacturing Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 1998 to 2004.
