Richard Dear

Richard Dear is a seasoned professional in product management and educational content development, currently serving as a Senior Product Manager at AM since January 2023. Previously, Richard held the position of Senior Product Manager - Pedagogy & Personalisation at Sparx Learning from March 2020 to January 2023, focusing on impactful engineering opportunities, pedagogically sound initiatives, and managing data scientists and educational researchers. During a longer tenure at Sparx Learning from November 2013 to December 2019, Richard was the Head of Content Science, overseeing a team of 34 in the creation of high-quality mathematical content and instructional materials, while also acting as a Product Manager. Richard's early career included multiple lecturing roles in Physical Chemistry at the University of Oxford, complemented by experience as a Physics and Mathematics Tutor. Richard holds a DPhil and an MChem in Chemistry from the University of Oxford.
