Jim Whitehurst

Jim Whitehurst served as a Principal Consultant at Whitehurst Ventures, LLC starting in 2019. Prior to that, they worked at GT Software from 2012 to 2019, starting as a DevOps Manager responsible for directing the activities of the DevOps group and serving as the sole Senior Systems Programmer. Jim then moved on to be a Senior Software Engineer. Before joining GT Software, Jim was a Senior IT Manager at Texas A&M University from 2010 to 2012. Jim also worked as a Principal Consultant at The Whitehurst Group from 1982 to 2010, and as a Manager Systems Programming at Pennzoil from 1974 to 1981.

Jim Whitehurst earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics - Computer Science from Louisiana Tech University. Jim attended the university from 1968 to 1972.
