Chief Business Officer at Adaptimmune

Helen Tayton-Martin is the current Chief Business Officer at Adaptimmune, a position they have held since March of 2017. Prior to this, they served as the company's Chief Operating Officer since 2008. Tayton-Martin has over 25 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.

Helen began their career as a Clinical Project Manager at Novartis (Sandoz) in 1994 and transitioned to become a Technology Consultant at the London Technology Network in 2004. In 2006, they took on the role of Senior Executive, Business Development at Avidex Ltd where they stayed until 2008 when they co-founded Adaptimmune as COO. In their time with the company, they have helped grow it from 2 FTEs to over 300 employees today.

Helen Tayton-Martin has an Executive MBA from the London Business School and a PhD in Molecular Immunology from the University of Bristol.

Helen Tayton-Martin reports to Adrian Rawcliffe, CEO. They are on a team with Jo Brewer - SVP, Allogeneic Research, Elliot Norry - SVP & Chief Medical Officer, and William Bertrand - COO.
