James Barwell

James Barwell has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. James currently holds the position of Director of Business Development and Early Technology Strategy at Adaptimmune, a company focused on adoptive T-cell therapy for solid cancer indications. Prior to this role, James served as an Associate Director of Business Development and a Senior External Innovations Analyst at Adaptimmune. Before joining Adaptimmune, James worked at Aston University as a Wellcome Trust Post-Doctoral Fellow, where they conducted research on the pharmacology of Calcitonin receptors and published their findings in peer-reviewed journals. James also gained teaching experience during their time at Aston University by delivering undergraduate lecture series.

James Barwell has a diverse education history that spans over several years. James began their academic journey in 2003 at Aston University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology Combined Honours (BSc). James successfully completed this program in 2006.
