Katalin Korpany

Katalin Korpany is a Scientist II at Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp., specializing in DNA and RNA nanopore sequencing since August 2022. Prior to this role, Katalin held positions as a Research Scientist/Engineer at the University of Washington, where significant contributions included implementing sequencing workflows and bioinformatics analysis pipelines. Katalin also served as Adjunct/Adjoint Faculty and Postdoctoral Research Associate at Washington State University, developing computational methods for data analysis and investigating self-assembled porphyrins via scanning tunneling microscopy. With a strong foundation in programming and data visualization, Katalin has published extensively, including two first-author peer-reviewed manuscripts, and has experience mentoring undergraduate students. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Chemistry from McGill University and a Certificate in Software Development & Design Essentials from UW Professional & Continuing Education.
