Marie Downes

Marie Downes has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Marie has held various HR and recruiting roles in different companies. Currently, they are the Chief Talent Officer at Adaptive Financial Consulting, where they are responsible for strategic direction, leadership, employee engagement, coaching and development, compliance, and more. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of HR & Recruiting at the same company. Marie also has experience as a Director at HappyClappy Ltd. Before that, they served as the Head of HR - UK, Ireland & Australia at Lab49 UK Limited, where they focused on employee engagement. Marie has also worked as a Recruitment Specialist at Samsung and as a Recruiter at Finetix and LTX. Marie began their career as a Recruitment Consultant at Reed Technology Group and also briefly worked as a Membership Development Coordinator at the Institute of Directors.

Marie Downes completed their Bachelor of Science with Honors degree in Russian and Politics from the University of Surrey between 1994 and 1998. Additionally, they received training in Mental Health First Aid from Sanitas Hub/MHFA.
