Joana Martins

Joana Martins has been working in the medical device industry since 2010. Joana began their career as a Research Intern at IBMC.INEB Associate Laboratory in 2010. In 2013, they became an Intern at the University of Glasgow. Afterwards, they worked as an R&D Scientist at Biosckin Molecular & Cell Therapies S.A. from 2014 to 2015. From 2015 to 2022, they were a Medical Device Researcher and Tissue Collector / Lab Manager at the University of Oxford, NDORMS. Currently, they are a QA/RA Manager at Adapttech.

Joana Martins completed a High School degree in Sciences at Escola Secundária Filipa de Vilhena from 2005 to 2008. Joana then attended Escola Superior de Tecnologias da Saúde do Porto from 2008 to 2009 to study Anatomia Patológica, Citológica e Tanatológica. Lastly, they earned a Master in Bioengineering - Biomedical Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto from 2009 to 2014. In April 2022, they obtained an ISO 13485:2016 Clause by Clause certification from the BSI Training Academy.
