Ali Reza Mousavi

Ali Reza Mousavi has over 15 years of experience in the field of research and science. Ali Reza began their career in 2005 as an Academic Member at Ilam University. In 2008, they joined Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne - UNIL as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Assistant. From 2013-2014, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciencia. During their time at The Scripps Research Institute, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow, researching PIEZO mechanosensitive ion channels at the laboratory of Prof. Ardem Patapoutian (Noble prize 2021). From 2017-2021, they were a Research Scientist at Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Most recently, they have been a Senior Scientist at PREDICTIVE BIOLOGY, INC. where they designed and performed single-cell RNA sequencing, isolation of single cells/nuclei and library preparation for next generation sequencing (NGS). Ali Reza also designed and implemented multiple in vitro cell-based assays and isolated and maintained primary human cells for in vitro assays. Ali Reza is set to join ADARx Pharmaceuticals Inc. in 2022 as a Senior Scientist.

Ali Reza Mousavi received their PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Lausanne - UNIL in 2013, having studied there from 2008. Ali Reza also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, which they obtained in 2005 after studying there from 2003.
