Marco MacChietto

Marco Macchietto has a strong background in legal roles within the financial sector. Marco currently serves as the Head of Legal - Global Markets at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank since December 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Legal Counsel - Treasury & Markets at the same bank from June 2022 to November 2023. Before joining Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Marco worked as a Senior Legal Counsel - Markets & Group Funding at First Abu Dhabi Bank from July 2018 to May 2022. Marco also gained experience at Credit Suisse, where they served as a Vice President from April 2015 to July 2018 and as a Secondee in the Legal Department, Structured Financings and Securities team from March 2014 to October 2014. Marco started their legal career at Ashurst LLP, where they worked as a Solicitor specializing in OTC derivatives and credit derivatives from March 2011 to February 2015. Marco also completed a traineeship at the same firm from March 2009 to March 2011. Additionally, Marco gained experience as a Secondee in the Corporate and Investment Banking Legal, Credit Products Team at BNP Paribas from January 2010 to September 2010. Marco began their career with internships at Gordian Knot in 2006 and Studio Legale Olivieri, Ciapetti & Partners, Firenze in 2005.

Marco Macchietto attended the University of Leicester from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. During their time at the University of Leicester, they studied Law. Additionally, from 2005 to 2006, they also attended the Universita degli Studi di Firenze, where they studied Law as well.
