Erin Morgan Nye, PhD has held a variety of roles in the biochemistry field since 2009. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Research Assistant at Metabolix, where they developed new polymer formulations to improve Bio-plastic quality. In 2012, they held a Summer Intern role at Bruker Optics. From 2013 to 2019, they worked as a PhD Researcher at UC Santa Barbara, where they delivered NuBCP Peptide Targeting BCL-2 in Resistant Cancer Cells with Hollow Gold Nanoshells (HGN). Results showed that delivery of a Nur77 derived peptide, NuBCP, with the HGNs increased therapeutic efficacy of NuBCP by 30 times the fusion peptide alone in vitro. From 2019 to 2021, they held roles as a Process Development Scientist II and Process Development Scientist at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. Currently, they are a Senior Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist II at Adcentrx Therapeutics.
Erin Morgan Nye completed their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Iona University in 2013 and then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from UC Santa Barbara in 2019.
