Mara Thompson Pe

Mara Thompson, PE, currently serves as a Project Engineer at ADCI (Airport Design Consultants, Inc.) since June 2022. Previous experience includes an Engineer role at Mountaineer Gas Company from 2014 to June 2022, and a Departmental Assistant position at West Virginia University from September 2012 to May 2014, focusing on museum guest engagement and basic accounting tasks for the Appalachian Underground Corrosion Short Course. Mara also gained valuable experience as a Production Engineering Intern at North American Coal Corporation in 2013, where various projects were completed, and as an Environmental Engineering Intern at Patriot Coal Corporation in 2012, where water sampling and treatment tasks were performed. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Marshall University (2016-2018) and a Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering from West Virginia University (2010-2014).
