Chris May has over 20 years of experience in hardware development and engineering. CHRIS currently serves as the Head of Hardware at Adder Technology, where they manage and supports the Hardware Team. Previously, Chris worked as an Engineering Manager at Adder Technology, focusing on improving efficiency and quality across different product families. Prior to that, they were a Principal Consultant at PA Consulting Group, specializing in system architectures, electronics, and FPGA designs for various projects. Chris also spent nine years at Ross Video as a Senior Hardware Developer, leading and architecting designs for award-winning broadcast video equipment. CHRIS began their career at StreamShield Networks as a Hardware Engineer, focusing on FPGA RTL and software development. Chris's experience also includes working as a Project Engineer at Plextek Ltd, where they were responsible for embedded CPU, FPGA, and DSP platforms for various applications and markets.
Chris May attended The University of Sheffield from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) Hons. degree in Electronic Engineering (Computing). CHRIS also holds additional certifications including Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Member of the IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology), although the specific dates of their attainment are unknown.
