Fabienne Furt

Fabienne Furt, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in various biotech and academic roles. Fabienne is currently the Director of Business Development at Addgene, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Director of Business Development at Addgene from January 2020 to October 2022. Before joining Addgene, they worked as a Business Development Analyst at the same company from July 2018 to January 2020.

Dr. Furt completed their PhD at the Laboratory of Membrane Biogenesis/CNRS/University of Bordeaux, where they studied the lipid and protein composition of plant cell signaling platforms called "lipid rafts." This research provided insight into fundamental cellular functions related to cell communication, signal transduction, and pathogen entry.

Fabienne Furt, PhD has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Plant Biochemistry from the University of Bordeaux, France, which they obtained from 2004 to 2007. Fabienne also holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the same university, earned between 2002 and 2004. In 2014, they briefly attended Harvard University for the HHMI/National Academies Summer Institute, focusing on Undergraduate Education in STEM.
