Yelka Kariyawasam

Yelka Kariyawasam has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Yelka started their career at Genesiis Software (Pvt) Ltd as a Software Developer Intern, where they worked on the project Xeno. Yelka contributed to both frontend and backend development, utilizing HTML/CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and Java. Yelka implemented various features and functionalities and assisted in the integration of the server-side logic and database.

After their internship, Yelka worked as a Freelancer at Freelancer.com. Yelka specialized in frontend development and gained proficiency in ReactJs, HTML/CSS, and Bootstrap. Yelka utilized styling libraries such as Fluent UI, Tailwind, and Sementic UI to create responsive designs and improve the overall user experience.

Currently, Yelka is working as a Software Engineer at Addovation. Yelka is involved in the development of AddoExplorer, a document management system based on IFS. Using ReactJs and React Hooks, they have developed frontend features and implemented pagination. Yelka started their education in 2001 and completed it in 2011 at Galle's G/ Southlands College. There, they obtained their Ordinary Level degree, but the specific field of study is unknown.

Yelka then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, specializing in Software Engineering at SLIIT from 2017 to 2020.

Furthermore, in 2021, Yelka completed a Java course at Sololearn.
