Tamil Selvan Anthonymuthu has held various research-based roles since 2010. In 2021, they became the Director of Research and Development at Adeptrix Corporation, where they lead the company's product manufacturing, quality control, and R&D activities. Tamil Selvan also designed and conducted innovative research projects and developed high-proficiency in utilizing core molecular biology, cell-based assays, and cell culture techniques for critical project functions.

Additionally, in 2010, Tamil Selvan Anthonymuthu was an Associate Scientist at Kemin Industries Southasia Pvt.Ltd, where they designed and performed experiments, developed bioanalytical methods for enzymes, and demonstrated product performance to customers. Tamil Selvan was a key member of the product development team and an integral member of the research and development team tasked with designing a moisture-retaining antimicrobial product for agrifood usage. Tamil Selvan also developed key sensitive assay methods for enzymes used in formulating agrifood additives while concurrently assessing enzyme sources and mixture.

Tamil Selvan Anthonymuthu completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biotechnology (Enzyme Technology, Protein Sciences, Bioprocess Engineering) from Anna University in 2008. From 2001 to 2003, they earned their M. Tech in Biotechnology from Anna University. Tamil Selvan completed their B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras from 1997 to 2001.
