Heinz Stockinger

Heinz Stockinger is an accomplished professional in the field of computer science with extensive experience in technical architecture, project management, and leadership. Currently serving as Team Leader and Technical Architect in Digital Health at adesso Schweiz AG since August 2022, Heinz previously held significant roles at the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics from 2006 to 2022, including Lead Data & Project Management and Chief Technology Officer. Heinz led the Core-IT group, focusing on IT infrastructure and data protection, while also representing SIB in international projects like ELIXIR Europe. With a strong research background, Heinz has contributed to large-scale distributed computing projects at organizations including CERN and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, and has a solid academic foundation with a Ph.D. and expertise as a Privat Docent from the University of Vienna.
