Selcuk Buyukozer

VP Social & Environmental Affairs at Adidas

Born in Istanbul, Selcuk Buyukozer is a business professional with over two decades of experience in a variety of industries. Selcuk began their career in 1992 as a market researcher for Aviato Mobile Telecommunication Systems A/S. Selcuk then spent three years as export-import manager for Kurtsan Pharmaceuticals Inc. In 1998, they and a partner established Dreamland Photo House, a digital photo studio specializing in costume photography.

In 2000, Mr. Buyukozer began working as human rights manager for LF Europe Sourcing, conducting supplier audits and providing guidance to ensure compliance with the Brand’s Code of Conduct. Selcuk implemented a reporting system to track the compliance development of the suppliers. Selcuk held this position for two years before moving on to their current role as VP Social & Environmental Affairs at Adidas. In this role, they are responsible for leading and executing the company’s social and environmental affairs strategy.

Selcuk Buyukozer has a degree in economics from Boğaziçi University and an MBA from Istanbul Technical University. Selcuk also has a certification in unconscious bias from LinkedIn and a certification in giving and receiving feedback from LinkedIn. Selcuk is currently enrolled in a sustainability certification program at Harvard Extension School.
