Samantha Kimmel, C.M.I. has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Samantha began their career as a Swim Instructor and Assistant Swim Coach/Swim Instructor at Woodridge Swim Club. In 2014, they became an Intern at NewPath Learning, where they did illustrations to help kids ages K-12 learn about different topics. Samantha then joined RLPS Architects as a Graphic Design Intern in 2015. That same year, they began working as a Graphic Designer at Home & Body Company, designing soap labels for clients such as TJ Max, Ross, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Home Goods. In 2017, they joined ScienceMedia, Inc. as a Medical Illustrator, illustrating and animating topics in anatomy, biology, and life science for eLearning content. In 2019, they became a Senior Medical Illustrator at AdMed, Inc., managing their department and communicating with PhD writers on complex topics in order to illustrate diseases and the drugs that combat them.
Samantha Kimmel obtained their GED from Warwick High School in 2011. Samantha then attended Rochester Institute of Technology where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Medical Illustration/Medical Illustrator in 2015. In 2019, they obtained a Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI) certification from The Association of Medical Illustrators.
