David Darby

David Darby is an accomplished technology executive with a robust background in leading and transforming technology strategies across various sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Admiral Group Plc since June 2020, David is instrumental in defining the "Next Gen" technology strategy to support the company's vision. Prior to this role, David held several prominent positions, including CTO for Realtime Payments at Vocalink (March 2014 - June 2020), where David oversaw technology for major payment platforms, and served as Head of Digital Architecture at RBS (November 2012 - March 2014), leading a strategic transformation program. Early career achievements include significant roles such as Global CIO & Transformation Programme Director at NEOVIA Financial PLC and Vice President at TIBCO Software Ltd. David's career also spans key technology leadership at Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs. Academically, David holds a BSc honours degree in Applied Physics and Electronics from Durham University.
