Rick Thornton

Business Development & Clients Relations Manager at Admiral Security Services

With over 25 years of management experience and more than 30 years in the private security industry, Mr. Thornton joined Admiral Security Services to work with a company focused on controlled growth and employee development. He is a veteran of the US Army Military Police and holds certifications as Compliance Agent, Campus Security Officer Trainer and served as a DCJS Certified General Instructor and Firearms Instructor for 11 years.

Upon his initial hire with Admiral in 2012 he started as a Regional Operations Manager in Tidewater and a year later moved to Harrisonburg where he began as Regional Operations Manager and then Director of Operations for Blue Ridge VA & WV managing offices in Harrisonburg, Winchester, Lynchburg and Roanoke.

Mr. Thornton is also a Certified Liaison Officer with the Virginia Fusion Center, DHS/FEMA Certified in Pipeline Security and Active Shooter Instructor. Rick has proven a tireless worker and employee focused manager and developer of people.
