Eduardo Cardenas

2024 Access Fellow at Access

Eduardo Cardenas is a Project Manager and Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of California, San Francisco, overseeing multiple biomedical clinical research projects with funding exceeding $4 million across five research sites since April 2019. Cardenas has led a statewide initiative to enhance diversity among research participants. Currently serving as a 2024 Access Fellow, Cardenas was selected for this prestigious program that supports underrepresented minorities and individuals pursuing an MBA, showcasing strong community-building skills. Previous experiences include a Palliative Care Volunteer at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, where Cardenas created culturally competent resources for underserved patients, and a Student Leader at Cal Dining, where operational efficiency was improved. Cardenas also gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, contributing to experimental design in molecular biology. Cardenas holds a Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology with an emphasis on Neurobiology from the University of California, Berkeley.
