Dr. Awadh Mohamed Alkarbi

Dr. Awadh Mohamed Alkarbi has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Dr. Awadh Mohamed began their career at ADNOC Group in 2005 as a Shift Operation Engineer, where they supervised the entire operation, production of power and water, and manpower. Dr. Awadh Mohamed then moved on to work as a Senior Contracts Engineer, where they contributed to the preparation of amendments to existing contracting and service agreement policies and ensured proper tender document compilation.

In 2012, Dr. Alkarbi became the Head of Contracts Section at ADNOC Group, where they participated in developing contracting strategies and monitored the effectiveness of the contracting function through the implementation of KPIs. Dr. Awadh Mohamed later took on the role of Manager of Purchasing Department, where they managed and controlled purchasing development activities and expedited the delivery of purchased items.

In 2016, Dr. Alkarbi transitioned to the position of Manager of Contracts Department at ADNOC Group. In this role, they were responsible for managing, supervising, developing, and controlling contracts development activities. Dr. Awadh Mohamed also developed complex contracting and tendering strategies and ensured that all contract development activities were conducted effectively and efficiently.

Dr. Alkarbi briefly worked at Mubadala in 2008 as an Assistant Project Manager, where they contributed to electrical works related to confidential activities and conducted interviews and recruiting activities.

In 2022, Dr. Alkarbi returned to the ADNOC Group as Acting Vice President of the Procurement Division in addition to their Manager role and Manager of ADNOC Refining Contracts.

Dr. Awadh Mohamed Alkarbi obtained a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Abu Dhabi University, specializing in Business Administration, Management of Procurement & Project, and Strategy. Dr. Awadh Mohamed also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Abu Dhabi University, with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General. Earlier in their education, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from United Arab Emirates University, specializing in Electrical and Power Transmission Installation/Installer, General. Additionally, Dr. Alkarbi has obtained a certification from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) for Corporate Award Accreditation in 2021.
