Charlie Miller

Charlie Miller, PhD, currently serves as Vice President of Education at Adobe, a role held since November 2024. Prior to this position, Miller was Executive Chairman and Board Member at Capstone from January 2020 to January 2025, as well as an Advisory Board Member and Board Member at RapidSOS during the same timeframe. Previous experience includes a tenure at Microsoft from June 2018 to February 2024, where roles encompassed Corporate Vice President and Vice President of Social Learning. Additional contributions include serving as Advisory Board Member at M12, Microsoft’s Venture Fund, and as Founder/Chief Product Officer at Flipgrid, which was acquired by Microsoft in June 2018. Academic achievements include serving as Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota from August 2006 to October 2019, where Miller also founded the Institute for Design Innovation and co-directed the Learning Technologies Media Lab. Educational qualifications comprise a Ph.D. in Learning Technologies from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Science in Computer Graphics Technology from Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics Technology from Purdue University.
