Ka Yam

Ka Yam is an accomplished data professional with a diverse background in healthcare analytics and data science. Ka Yam began as a Laboratory Assistant I at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, responsible for DNA extraction and reagent preparation. Following this experience, Ka Yam worked as an Analyst at Triage Consulting Group, utilizing SQL to analyze patient and financial data, which led to the identification of revenue cycle risks. At Sequoia Consulting Group, Ka Yam advanced to Client Analyst, leading a healthcare benchmarking project that significantly boosted revenue and supported numerous clients with in-depth financial analyses. Later, Ka Yam gained experience as a Data Science Intern at Reddit, Inc. and is currently serving as a Data Scientist specializing in Engagement & Retention Analytics at Adobe. Educationally, Ka Yam holds a B.S. in General Biology with business and global health minors from the University of California San Diego and a Master of Science in Data Science from the University of San Francisco, as well as a study abroad experience focused on public health at Thammasat University.
