Prof Alejandro Frangi FREng is a prominent figure in computational medicine and health technology research, currently serving as the Director of the Christabel Pankhurst Institute at The University of Manchester. With extensive experience, Frangi holds several esteemed positions including the Bicentennial Turing Chair in Computational Medicine and the Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Emerging Technologies. Prof Alejandro also contributes as Chief Scientific Advisor at AdSilico Limited and as an Honorary Professor at KU Leuven. Frangi's previous roles include Director of Research and Innovation at the University of Leeds and visiting positions at multiple prestigious institutions including the University of Sheffield and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Frangi's academic background consists of a Ph.D. in Biomedical Imaging from Utrecht University and a Master's in Telecommunication Engineering.
