Maria Gómez Balmaseda

Ignacia G. is a seasoned professional in project management with extensive experience in implementing and supporting USAID-funded programs across Central America and the Caribbean. Currently a Senior Associate at DAI since March 2023, Ignacia has also engaged in advanced project management studies at Georgetown University. Previous roles include significant positions at Chemonics International, where oversight of a $28 million portfolio was managed, and contributions to wildlife conservation through various organizations, including the Wildlife Habitat Council and the Smithsonian Institution. Ignacia holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland, along with a Project Management Certification from Georgetown University.
