Catalina Culmes

Catalina Culmes has a diverse work experience spanning from 2004 to 2023. Catalina joined AdsWizz in 2014, where they currently hold the position of Senior Director of Engineering. Prior to that, they worked at Intrasoft International as a Senior J2EE Developer from 2006 to 2014, and at OPEN as a J2EE Developer from 2005 to 2006. Catalina started their career at Italsiel (Finsiel Group) as a J2EE Developer from 2004 to 2005. At AdsWizz, Catalina has held multiple roles, including Director of Software Engineering and Service Architect for the Forecasting stack. Catalina is responsible for building and executing the technical roadmap, ensuring integration between system components, and addressing performance and latency issues. Catalina also prepares architecture solutions for development teams and presents them to the architecture board for approval.

Catalina Culmes completed their Master's degree in Information Security from Academia de Studii Economice din București, with a duration from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence & Robotics from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, from 2000 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Catalina Culmes has obtained several certifications. These include the certification in Genomic Data Science from Coursera, completed in February 2016, the certification in Become a Hadoop Developer |Training|Tutorial from Udemy, obtained in November 2015, and the certifications in M101J: MongoDB for Java Developers and M102: MongoDB for DBAs from MongoDB, Inc., both obtained in February 2015. Catalina also holds the Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance, earned in May 2014. Furthermore, Catalina Culmes obtained the Introduction to Oracle 9i: SQL certification from Oracle in October 2009. Moreover, they achieved the Sun Certified Business Component Developer for the Java 5 Platform certification from Sun Microsystems in August 2009, and the Sun Certified Java Programmer for the Java 5 Platform certification, also from Sun Microsystems, in May 2008.
