Chevez Wells B. has extensive experience in the legal field, with a focus on data privacy and regulatory compliance. Starting in 1992 as an Associate Attorney at MARKS CLARE & RICHARDS, LLC, they reviewed and drafted complex commercial contracts. Chevez Wells then served as the Legal Counsel for Omaha Housing Authority, demonstrating expertise in government contracting and procurement, HUD regulations, commercial law, litigation, and real estate law.

From 1996 to 1999, Chevez worked as an Independent Project Attorney and Temp Attorney, specializing in commercial real estate law for corporate clients and law firms.

After that, they joined the American Bar Association as a Senior Associate General Counsel, providing in-house legal counsel to senior management and overseeing a range of legal matters such as commercial contracts, technology and telecommunications, privacy issues, intellectual property, and more.

Chevez then joined Sears Holdings Corporation as a Senior Counsel, focusing on legal and business support for marketing initiatives, online advertising, e-commerce, and trademark licensing. Chevez Wells also negotiated and drafted various complex commercial agreements.

From 2007 to 2010, Chevez worked as a Senior Commercial Counsel at Motorola Mobility, providing legal and business advice to senior managers across a range of areas including B2B sales, licensing, intellectual property, privacy, and corporate governance.

Chevez Wells then joined Accenture as an Offering Counsel Senior Manager, where they provided regulatory, compliance, and strategic contracting advice to the company's outsourcing, consulting, and business services units.

In 2018, Chevez founded their own law firm, Chevez Wells Law, where they provided legal services to corporate clients, specializing in global data privacy regulations and transactions. Chevez Wells also offered expertise in drafting complex contracts and regulatory compliance.

Most recently, Chevez joined Adtalem Global Education as the VP, Senior Associate General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, they serve as a strategic advisor on global privacy, information governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance for nine institutions and companies operating in over 180 countries. Chevez Wells works cross-functionally and collaboratively across the enterprise.

Chevez Wells B. holds a Juris Doctor degree in Law from the University of Iowa College of Law. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Northwestern University.
