Achim Autenrieth

Achim Autenrieth currently serves as Senior Director of Advanced Technology at Adtran, a position held since November 2024. Previously, Achim worked at ADVA Optical Networking from July 2010 to November 2024, holding the positions of Director of Advanced Technology, leading the Networking Technologies team, and Principal Research Engineer, conducting techno-economic assessments for Packet Optical Transport Networks. Prior to this, Achim was Head of BCS RD Innovation at Nokia Siemens Networks from April 2007 to July 2010, focusing on innovation management in optical transport networks. Achim's career began at Siemens AG, where roles included Senior Research Engineer and Senior Research Scientist from January 2003 to April 2007. Achim holds a Dr.-Ing. degree and a Dipl.-Ing. in Telecommunications from the Technical University of Munich, earned in 2002 and 1996, respectively.
