Ryan Schaefer

Ryan Schaefer is a professional with extensive experience in educational and community roles, currently serving as a Teaching Assistant at ACLD and a Senior Inclusion Specialist at Great South Bay YMCA since May 2022. Additionally, Ryan has held the position of SACC Program Group Leader at YMCA of Long Island since September 2021 and worked as an Inclusion Specialist at Great South Bay YMCA from May 2018 to August 2021. Prior to that, Ryan gained experience as a Grocery Worker at East Islip Village Market in 2017. Ryan is pursuing a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice at John Jay College (CUNY), expected to complete in December 2024, after earning a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics and Law from Binghamton University in 2021. Educational background includes studies at SUNY Geneseo and an Advanced Regents Diploma from East Islip High School.
