Muhammad Ilyas

Muhammad Ilyas, PhD, P.Eng. is currently a Visiting Professor at the University of Regina since August 2023, also serving as Engineering Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager for Advance Engineered Products Group since April 2022. Prior experience includes a position as Associate Professor at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology from December 2016 to February 2022, where Muhammad Ilyas developed and introduced innovative courses in machine design and composite materials. Muhammad Ilyas spent nearly a decade at the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, first as Senior Design Engineer managing large teams and leading structural integrity assessments for nuclear and petrochemical facilities, and previously as Junior Design Engineer. Muhammad Ilyas also gained experience as a Mechanical Engineer at CERN in early 2012. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from INSA Toulouse.
