Andy Lovatt

Andy Lovatt has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Most recently, they served as the Director of Developments (Commercial & Infrastructure) at Advance Northumberland since July 2020. Prior to that, they took a break from work to focus on personal development and family time after spending 13 years working on multi-billion dollar projects in the Middle East.

Andy's previous roles include Planning Director at CH2M, where they contributed to the construction of Expo 2020, a massive mixed-use development. Andy also worked as a Project Controls Manager at Solidere International, overseeing capital expenditure projects across multiple countries. At Tourist Development Investment Company (TDIC), they served as a Senior Project Manager, providing planning coordination for various infrastructure projects.

Earlier in their career, Andy held positions such as Senior Consultant / Planning Manager at High Point Rendel (I) Ltd, Planning Manager at KBR, Planning Engineer at Laing O'Rourke, Design Engineer at Montgomery Watson Harza, and Assistant Contract/Claims Engineer at Pell Frischmann.

Throughout their career, Andy has gained expertise in urban planning, infrastructure development, project controls, and business planning.

Andy Lovatt attended the University of Birmingham from 1991 to 1994. Andy obtained a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, graduating with honors (BEng(Hons)).
