Wayne Johnson

Wayne Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Wayne has worked as a Sr. Project Manager and Instructional Systems Designer for Advanced Automation Corporation, where they led the design and development of instructional material for the United States Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) and AAC training courses. Wayne also served as the Project Lead for the DLIFLC Foreign Area Officer (FAO) programs.

In addition, Wayne Johnson founded and served as the President of Intercultural Workforce Consultancy LLC (IWC), where they provided intercultural business and professional workforce development training consultancy services. Wayne has also served on the Board of Directors for The MassHire Metro South/West Workforce Board, working to find solutions to labor market problems and advocating for policy change.

Wayne Johnson has held various positions within the Massachusetts Community Colleges System, including Director of Community Education at Bunker Hill Community College and Dean of Corporate & Community Education at Mass Bay Community College. Wayne also served as a University Adjunct Professor at seven universities in Kyoto, Japan, and collaborated with Japanese linguistic scholars as an author and editor for ZOSHINDO, K.K.

Wayne Johnson graduated from Leadership MetroWest in 2009, where they studied Leadership.

From 1990 to 1992, Wayne attended the School for International Training and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Teaching and Education.

In the years 1985 to 1988, Wayne completed the Secondary Education Teacher Certification Program at SUNY New Paltz.

During the academic year of 1986 to 1987, Wayne participated in the Graduate Level Academic Year Overseas Education Practicum at Eastern Michigan University.

As part of a foreign exchange program, Wayne studied Education and Sociology at Brunel University London from 1983 to 1984.

Wayne earned their Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Brockport in 1984, majoring in Sociology and Health Science, with a minor in History.
