Carl W. Podella

Carl is an applications scientist with expertise in new product creation; design and development, including patenting new technology, regulatory affairs, manufacturing process design, and marketing plan development. He holds patents in surfactant chemistry and its applications. As a Senior Technology Specialist in International Research and Development for S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. for twenty-seven years, Carl led a team of chemists and technicians, started subsidiary companies in international territories, managed product accounts averaging more than $200 million in annual sales, performed research and development projects in several foreign countries, and launched more than one hundred products worldwide. Carl attended the University of Wisconsin and took additional coursework at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
