Laurent BASSET

Laurent BASSET has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research field. Laurent is currently serving as the Clinical Operations Director at Advanced BioDesign since May 2020. Prior to that, they worked for ITG Group from April 2019 to February 2020, where they were engaged in consulting missions related to quality, regulatory, and methodology.

Laurent also held significant roles at Baxter International Inc. as the Lead Clinical Project Manager & QA Manager from 2007 to 2019, at Sanofi Pasteur as the Clinical Program Manager in 2006, at NAMSA as the Clinical Study Director / QA Manager from 2003 to 2006, at DermExpert as the Clinical Operations and QA Manager from 2000 to 2003, at MDS Pharma Services as a Senior Clinical Research Associate from 1996 to 2000, and at the French National Health and Medical Research Institute (INSERM) - Saint-Louis Hospital, Paris as a Research Engineer from 1993 to 1996.

Laurent's responsibilities throughout their career have included clinical operations, quality assurance, project management, regulatory compliance, and clinical program management. Laurent has a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and has worked on phase I clinical studies. Notably, they achieved an industrial contract with LABCATAL Laboratories during their time at the French National Health and Medical Research Institute.

Laurent Basset earned a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Pierre and Marie Curie University, specializing in INSERM Immunologie-Inflammation at the Service de Dermatologie Pr Dubertret - Hôpital Saint-Louis. Laurent completed their doctoral studies from 1993 to 1996. Prior to that, Laurent obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmacology from Université de Bordeaux, specifically from Université Victor Segalen Bordeaux 2 - Faculté Pharmacie de Bordeaux, during the academic years of 1990 to 1991.
