Dean Tibbs

Dean Tibbs has extensive experience in the energy sector, particularly in business planning and development. Dean served as the President of Advanced Energy Strategies, Inc. from 1997 onwards. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President of Business Planning and Development at Enova Energy Management from 1996 to 1997. During their time at Enova Energy Management, they played a key role in developing business for an un-regulated firm owned by a regulated utility, primarily working with municipal electric utilities to enhance their wholesale market operations. Notably, they contributed to the creation of the first new electric utility in California in over 50 years in partnership with the City of Pittsburg, CA.

Dean Tibbs completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at the University of California, Riverside from 1975 to 1977. Dean then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of California, Davis from 1977 to 1984.
