Bassem Lotfy

Bassem Lotfy has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Bassem is currently working as the Chief Financial Officer at AIR (Advanced Inhalation Rituals) since January 2024. Prior to that, they served as the Corporate Finance Director at AIR from July 2020 to December 2023.

Before joining AIR, Lotfy worked at British American Tobacco for a significant period of time. Bassem held various finance director positions, including Finance Director Central Europe North from January 2020 to February 2020, Finance Director DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) from January 2017 to December 2019, Finance Director Germany from September 2015 to December 2016, Area Head of Finance Middle East from September 2010 to August 2015, Head of Finance - Eastern Europe Operations from April 2008 to August 2010, Western Europe Area Integration Manager from August 2007 to April 2008, Finance Director Belgium and Luxembourg from March 2006 to August 2007, and Acquisitions & Ventures Manager from February 2004 to February 2006. Prior to these roles, they had various finance roles within the company from May 1997 to January 2004.

Bassem also had prior work experience at Bausch + Lomb Distributor Operations, where they worked as a finance manager from June 1993 to April 1997.

Lotfy started their career at Inter Computer Consultants as a Project Executive and Consultant from September 1991 to May 1993. In this role, they were involved in marketing, sales, and implementation of accounting software solutions for corporate customers.

Bassem Lotfy completed their International Baccalaureate degree at the International School of Geneva from 1977 to 1987. Later, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree at Webster University from 1987 to 1991. Bassem furthered their education at Webster University, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from 1997 to 1999.
