Rey Balcazar, Jr.

Rey Balcazar is the senior vice president, self-funded markets and client services for AMPS. Rey brings more than 30 years of experience to AMPS with deep knowledge in the overall health and welfare Industry. His objective is to collaborate with brokers, consultants, third-party administrators and individual employer groups to provide cost containment strategies that address the ever-increasing cost of healthcare services, leading a national team of seasoned sales and client service executives to provide this consultative approach. Rey previously held sales leadership roles with insurance carriers and a provider network, and in the most recent past, served as the health practice leader for Mercer Consulting in Minneapolis. He is a member of the Self-Insurance Institute of America, the Health Care Administrators Association, and the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators. Rey graduated Wabash College with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts.
